Sevenoaks Town Council has launched an appeal for pledges to help acquire the Stag Theatre as a future community asset.

A historic theatre located in Sevenoaks town Cehtre is the subject of an appeal to secure its future ownership for the local community..

The Stag Theatre, which also hosts a cinema and youth hub, is currently owned by Sevenoaks District Council, which wants to divest itself of the property as part of proposed local government re-organisation.

The town council has invited residents to pledge by October 1 on the link below. It is seeking up to £100,000 in pledges. It will decide after that date on how to proceed with its plans.
