Plans To Transform The Royal Victoria Place

Updated designs for the transformation of the Royal Victoria Place have gone on display.

The plans for the transformation of the Royal Victoria Place shopping centre in Tunbridge Wells include a boutique cinema and new leisure uses at Ely Court, alongside a revitalised Palm Court with improved retail and community leisure space. The proposals also confirm that the Friendly Societies Hall façade will be retained, with significant investment planned to restore and enhance it.

A drop in event where members of the project team will be available to answer questions is taking place on Saturday 21 March between 10am–2pm

Development could start early next year, subject to planning permission, with completion by 2029. The cost of the project ranges between £42million and £68million.
