South East Water have announced the immediate lifting of restrictions.
South East Water have lifted all hosepipe restrictions. They have thanked customers for following the restrictions, and for their patience while they were in place.
They are able to lift the restrictions now because the levels in the reservoirs and underground water sources are back to normal, following the rain that we’ve had over winter. While they have lifted the restrictions, they still need customers to use water wisely as a community. South East Water claim they are continuing our work to reduce water loss:
• They have repaired over 18,000 leaks last year (a 12 per cent increase)
• They are investing nearly £40 million a year in finding and fixing leaks.
So customer's help to continue to use water wisely at home is really appreciated. Every drop saved really does help, and it saves you money on your bills too.
