The Hospice in the Weald held their Moonlight Walk around Sevenoaks on Saturday 15th June.
Lynn Briggs had the privilege of joining the 500 walkers before they set off on their epic journey walking the 4, 8 or 13 mile route and had a chat with a few of them and very inspiring they were too.
Alison Mitchell, The Hospice Fundraising Director, said afterwards that “It was a fantastic night. Thanks to all who took part in Moonlight Walk and everyone who supported the event through sponsorship, donations or volunteering their time or skills. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, and match funding from the fabulous Freddie Green and Family Foundation, £100,307 has been raised so far, with funds still coming in. Every penny will make a difference to those facing terminal illness and their families when they need it most.”
You can still support and donate at their website www.hospiceintheweald.org.uk .
