A programme called "Love to Move" is a seated gymnastics programme which is transforming the lives of people living with dementia.
It has been developed by the British Gymnastics Foundation.
The programme uses gymnastics foundations, cognitive stimulation, and social interaction to improve physical and mental well-being for older adults and those with cognitive impairments like dementia or Parkinson's.
The program incorporates gentle, repetitive movements, often involving different actions for the left and right sides of the body, set to music.
Benefits include improved balance, coordination, social connection, mood, and the ability to perform daily activities more independently.
