Art in June

Artists in the area have opened their studios to show off their work to the public.

It's an annual event called "Art in June" and it includes workshops for the public to take part in.

This is its biggest year since it started in 2018.

There are more venues than ever around Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Edenbridge and Westerham area and the works on display are an eclectic mix, ranging from landscapes, portraiture and figurative to ceramics.

It runs from June 6 to 22nd.

Listen to Mary Whitlock's report.

Theo Gilbert says "The whole object of this is to bring local artists together into a community of artists.  It gives us  an opportunity to see the public face to face, talk about our art and maybe even sell some our art.  It's a wonderful opportunity to enhance that community that we have."

The artists are in their studios, painting, exhibiting and holding workshops - and there are even special cycle routes allowing visitors to go from studio to studio.
