Businesses are being invited to submit information on their losses due to the water crisis.
South East Water say they may be willing to increase their offer of compensation for local businesses and organisations affected by the December 2025 water outage if they receive clear, evidenced claims.
So Mike Martin MP, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and Royal Tunbridge Wells Together Business Improvement District are working hard to lobby South East Water to release these funds. To help them they are asking local businesses to provide evidence of the losses they have sustained during the December water outages.
They have stressed that it's important the details submitted are accurate and truthful. This will help them build a strong case for compensation. They are currently only collecting information related to the December outages and boil water notice period as discussions about compensation for the January outages are still ongoing.
