Triathlon event raising funds for mental health
Triathlon competitor Paul has raised over £1,000 for local charity Mental Health Resources. He competed in the Hever Triathlon at the end of September.
Paul endured a 1.9k swim, a 90k cycle and a 20k run and trained morning and night for 6 months for such a gruelling challenge.
After the event, Paul said 'I decided to use the Hever Triathlon to raise much-needed funds for Mental Health Resource. It's been an interesting six months of training and I can't say I'll miss the 5.30am bike rides, going to work for the day and then having to run in the evening!
But I'm delighted I was able to survive it and so grateful to have the physical health to do so!
Mental Health Resource believes in improved mental wellbeing for everyone & provide safe spaces and person-centred support in the community around West Kent.
